Situated on the top of a hill, with a 360\u00b0 panoramic view of the valley below, the house was created as a response to its location. The plan is formed by two perpendicular axes that intersect in the shape of a cross. This conformation not only grafts and integrates with the surrounding landscape but also guarantees each wing a unique view and complete privacy from the rest of the house. The south-north axis, characterised by a stone septum, leads from the outside to the inside and vice versa, taking the visitor from a common entrance area, through the living room, to the open spaces of the swimming pool area circumscribed by the wild nature of the Mediterranean maquis. The building has two levels, one underground and one above-ground, and consists of vertical wall partitions, connected by the exposed steel roof. Integrated into this horizontal system that characterises the interior spaces are closure and shading systems. The technological solutions adopted to ensure high standards of energy efficiency have been integrated and harmonised to achieve an uncompromising architectural result.
